Google Business Profile for exporters

Is your Google listing working for you or against you?

When a buyer searches your company, your Google listing is often the first thing they see. Claimed, verified and complete, it tells them you are a real, active exporter. Unclaimed, with an old number and no photos, it tells them to keep looking.

Google guidance checked 27 October 2026 against Google Business Profile Help.

What does Google ask of a business listing?

Google's own guidance comes down to four things. The business name should be your real-world name, as used on your storefront, website and stationery, with no taglines or other unnecessary information [1]. The listing has to be verified, and Google automatically determines which verification methods you can use [2]. Businesses with complete and accurate information are more likely to show in local results, which Google says are mainly based on relevance, distance and popularity [3].

What do we set up for you?

  • Claim or create the profile in your company’s name
  • Complete Google verification with you
  • Primary and secondary business categories
  • Address, service area and opening hours
  • Phone and WhatsApp a buyer can reach
  • Description written for overseas buyers
  • Your products added, with photos
  • 5-10 real photos: facility, product, packing
  • Website and enquiry links
  • Q&A answered: MOQ, packing, markets

What do we need from you?

Your registered company name, address and the phone number for the listing; access to verify it (the owner's Google account, or the method Google offers); and 5 to 10 real photos of your facility, products and packing.

Questions exporters ask

Why does an exporter need a Google listing if buyers are overseas?

A buyer who receives your quotation usually searches your company name before replying. Your Google listing is often the first thing they see, with your address, photos, website and a way to reach you. An unclaimed or empty listing raises doubts about whether you are a real, active business.

How long does Google verification take?

Google says verification reviews take up to 5 business days, and occasionally longer. Some profiles are verified instantly. Google determines which verification methods your business can use, for example a video recording, phone or text, email, a live video call or a postcard.

What name should the listing use?

Your business's real-world name, as used consistently on your storefront, website and stationery. Google's guidelines say unnecessary information in the business name, such as a marketing tagline, isn't permitted and can lead to suspension.

Can you claim the listing for us?

The listing is claimed and verified in your company's name, with your owner account. We prepare everything and complete the steps with you, so the listing always belongs to you.

Is the Google listing sold separately?

It is one of the four parts of the Buyer-Ready Pack, because a buyer who finds a good listing then checks your website and asks for a spec sheet. Start with the free Buyer Check and we will tell you what your company needs.
